FIRST LADY OF REPUBLIC OF BURUNDI AFRICA RECEIVES AWARD FROM LATIN AMERICA

On August 5, 2014 in Washington DC, the Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award was presented to the First Lady of Burundi Africa, Denise Nkurunziza. The award was presented to the First Lady by Alama Vision Television personality, Celina Gonzalez. Celina Gonzalez commented, “We are honored and privileged to present the First Lady of Burundi with this prestigious award for her outstanding work to help the underprivileged of the world, as well as, the work she is doing through the Buntu Foundation in Burundi to empower women.” The Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award is presented to leading humanitarians globally.


Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “The First Lady of Burundi has helped and encouraged widows in her country for years. She is a leader that is doing the job of empowering women. The Buntu Foundation, lead by First Lady Denise Nkurunziza, is in the process of building a city to help the underprivileged in her country.”

In San Jose, California on October 18, 2014, Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers was surprised and honored by the presentation of the Martin Luther King Legacy of Peace Award.  The President of the Martin Luther King Foundation, of the Santa Clarita Valley, Kathleen Flynn and the Mayor of San Jose, Chuck Reed and other respected officials, presented the award to Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers.

The Martin Luther King Foundation has been active in the Santa Clarita Valley for well over 30 years. Every year this organization chooses to honor the top mountain movers whose lives are representative of the great work Dr. Martin Luther King accomplished in his life, Civil Rights Laws in the United States of America. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “I’m very humbled by the Legacy of Peace Award from the pioneer of peace, Dr. Martin Luther King through this prestigious foundation.”


There is great work being accomplished by Ambassador Rivers and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, Golden Rule International Award, as well as Dr. Clyde Rivers’ organization, iChange Nations. He and Monika Ponton Arrington, Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative Representative, beautifully represented the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award with members of the Cherokee Nation.

In August 2014 at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, Grand Rapids, Michigan Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Director of the North American Division of the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award presented Judge Sam Griffin with the highly esteemed Golden Rule International Award.

Judge Griffin is a 12th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge in Texas and serves his people in this capacity. He also has traveled to the Middle East and other parts of the world to help aid people in improving their quality of life.

Dr. Clyde Rivers is quoted saying “To have a judge leave the bench to help humanity is a quality that makes this man so great. Ambassador Rivers lives to the maximum, a life of honor. As he travels the world he carries the culture of honor into cultures where honor is not practiced. He is literally bringing change to the world by valuing people. He carries the “Culture of Honor” in his integrity and his dealings. He sees the good in mankind and is compelled to bring it forth. We at the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiatives (IPI) Golden Rule International Awards Presentation, at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum, are extremely honored to gather top humanitarians from all over the world. In 120 nations we are in the process of establishing April 5th as the Golden Rule Day International. This is a day in which there is no violence in the name of religion or culture in the world. We are pursuing this as a Resolution at the United Nations.

It gives me great honor to present Harrypersad Maharaj, the President of the Inter-Religious Organization of Trinidad and Tobago. This is the only country I have ever been to that has harmony among their religions and cultures. Harrypersad Maharaj has been a champion voice for peace within Trinidad and Tobago. His great leadership is now being recognized globally.

As well as the presentation of the Golden Rule International Award, the President and Founder of iChange Nations, Ambassador Clyde Rivers surprised Harrypersad Maharaj with the iChange Nations Global Leadership Award, for his work to unify the different cultures in Trinidad and Tobago and around the world. Ambassador Clyde Rivers said of Harrypersad Maharaj, “He will be known in the nations of the world as a man of peace. This will be his legacy to mankind.” Two of the past recipients of this award are, the President of the Taino Nation, Robert Mukaro and the President of the Cherokee Indian Nation, Bill Baker. These are two of many great men and women recipients. To see unity and diversity celebrated at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library is a great day for the world. President Ford was a man that believed in unity and diversity so it is not by chance that we are at this Presidential Museum presenting these honors to our great global leaders.

COMMUNITY WORK DAY – THE NEW MODEL FOR NATION BUILDING

The President of Republic of Burundi Africa is establishing community workdays in Burundi. This day consists of every Burundian working together for two hours a week to build their communities. This model has been going for several years and the government of this country has seen a unity building between the Hutu and the Tutsi tribes that have experienced long standing ethnic division for years.

Ambassador Clyde Rivers says, “It is a beautiful day when you see people working together to build their nation in peace ad harmony. This Community Works Day is the new model for national develop and was created by President Pierre Nkurunziza.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CONFERENCE IN BURUNDI AFRICA A SUCCESS

Ambassador Clyde Rivers, with United Graduate College and Seminary International Chancellor, Prof. Michal Pitzl, had the privilege of attending the annual Youth Conference in Burundi Africa this month. This Youth Conference was in session to teach young people the power of entrepreneurism with a foundation based in God. The young people of Burundi gathered from various provinces joining other national youth teams from the United States and Nigeria. These teams traveled to Burundi for this four-day conference and enjoyed their cross-cultural interaction learning about being global entrepreneurs.

The conference was a great success because the dialog and the unity of the spirit in each meeting. There were multi-nations and multi-faiths in this phenomenal conference. Professor Albert Nasasagare, the Founder of Youth in Action Coalition was very pleased with the outcome of this conference.

Ambassador Clyde Rivers said, “I believe one day the nations of the world will look to the Republic of Burundi Africa to learn how to build their nations with their youth. Burundi is being built by one word, coined by Professor Albert Nasasagare, that word being, ‘Action’ We build by action not talk.”

The President of Republic of Burundi, H.E. Pierre Nkurunziza, has created a life -changing program for his country. He not only tells his nation that they are supposed to work for a good life, he actually models the importance of hard work every Saturday from 9:00 – 11:00. He physically and personally builds their country with his people. Together they are building schools, medical centers and government offices.

President Nkurunziza is creating this Community Works building program and is exemplifying a new leadership model for the world. Action speaks louder than words!

The prestigious Thomas Brown Christian College of Dallas Texas, presents Dr. Clyde Rivers with the Humanitarian of the Year Award.

Thomas Brown Christian College has followed the work of Dr. Clyde Rivers this year as he worked establishing the Golden Rule International Award, a highly ethical global award that honors people whose lives exemplify honoring others. The Golden Rule ethic is “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” The President of Thomas Brown Christian College, Dr. Omega Brown, was very please to congratulate Dr. Rivers on his fine work around the world. Sharing that the college was very proud to present him with this award.

Latin University of Theology’s International Commissioner, Dr. Clyde Rivers, was in San Jose California on June 8th, 2014 to present Mario Murillo with an Honorary Doctorate in Theology. This historical event took place at the Star of David Ministry with the overseers Dr. Sonny and Linda Lara in attendance.

Dr. Rivers told the audience that, “Mario Murillo is a true pioneer of the faith. Ambassador Clyde Rivers, the North American Division Leader for the Golden Rule International and the Representative to the United Nations, New York for Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, awarded Congressman Jim Beall the prestigious Golden Rule International Award. The ceremony was conducted on June 8th, 2014 at the Star of David Ministry in San Jose, California.

The Golden Rule International Award is now established in 120 nations of the world. This organization seeks out top achievers that live the Golden Rule in their everyday life. This is a new global ethic that the leadership of the Golden Rule International Award, Patron, former President of Ethiopia, Girma Wolde and Ambassador Mussie Hailu has embraced and is promoting globally. Golden Rule International is also affiliated with the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative (IPI), African Union, the United Nations as well as the United Religions Initiative (URI).

Congressman Beall was a major player in helping bring better education to the youth and children of California - spearheading several initiatives. Ambassador Clyde Rivers said,  “With men like Congressman Beall we have great hope for the State of California. The Golden Rule International global ethic, “Treat others the way you want to be treated,” is alive in the life of this man. We are proud to welcome him into the Golden Rule Network."

World Peace Ambassador, Clyde Rivers Throws First Pitch at a High Desert Mavericks Baseball Game

An advocate for world peace, Dr. Clyde Rivers was asked to throw the first pitch at the High Desert Mavericks baseball game last week. Rivers commented, “It was such an honor to be asked to throw the first pitch at this baseball game. I believe every time I have the opportunity to do something like this I am able to promote world peace and the Golden Rule. It’s good to be heard and have the ability to explain that the Golden Rule, as a global ethic, is the only way we can change the world. ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ With heartfelt gratitude I would like to thank the High Desert Mavericks Minor-League Baseball Team for giving me this opportunity.”
