Burundi Advisor Shows Support for Breast Cancer Awareness in U.S.A.

Dr. Rachael Schweiger, (Left ) and
Vice President of Sisters 4 Survivors, Darce Roberts

Dr. Rachael Schweiger, Diplomatic Advisor to the Honorary Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi, Clyde Rivers, was active again last week helping bring awareness to a major health issue in the world today as she participated in a launch party for Sisters 4 Survivors, an organization working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer. Breast cancer is the second leading cancer among American women. Dr. Schweiger commented, “Breast cancer awareness is the first step towards stopping this disease. The effects of this growing epidemic can be curtailed if people are informed with the correct information and are proactive by getting examined regularly and having mammograms. These few things can save many lives!” Many people are surprised to learn that there is a drastic increase in the number of younger women getting it and that even men are at risk for breast cancer.  Breast cancer survivor and Vice President of Sisters 4 Survivors, Darce Roberts, said, “A diagnosis of breast cancer is life changing. I cannot stress enough the importance of early detection. If you think something isn’t right, go get checked, no matter what age you are. You can never be prepared for a diagnosis of cancer, but catching it early and having a strong support system is imperative to a good recovery.” When diagnosed at its earliest stages, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer can be as high as 98%. Dr. Rivers stated, “People with passion like Dr. Schweiger are the true world changers. Her love for mankind always challenges her to get involved to make a difference.”

Dr. Schweiger said, “I truly want to see people reach their God-given purpose and potential.” To help reach this end, she has also mentored Young Ambassadors who bring projects to Africa, and partnered with a local elementary school to raise funds to support a partner school in Burundi. She had also written peace keeping curriculum and taught it globally. FORMER NAVAJO NATION PRESIDENT RECEIVES HONOR AS A PEACEMAKER

Prof. Clyde Rivers, Dr. Kelsey Begaye, Dr. Robert Ornales

Dr. Kelsey A. Begaye, Former President of the Navajo Nation, has received an honorary doctorate from United Graduate College and Seminary for his valiant efforts to reunite the Navajo Nation. There was a time when there was great disharmony within the Navajo Nation and Former President of the Navajo Nation, Dr. Begaye, was a unifier of the people.

Prof. Clyde Rivers, Founder of IMEA as well as a World Peace Ambassador with Universal Peace Federation said, “Any peacemaker is a man after God’s own heart. As I had the opportunity to meet with the Former President, Dr. Begaye, I was very impressed with the work he is doing in the Navajo Nation today. One of the areas he is working  to help is with the issues of alcoholism among the Navajo. I look forward to partnering International Ministers Education Association with Dr. Begaye; to help the Navajo Nation with bible based training – biblical principles for living. It will be an honor to join Dr. Begaye in helping people around the world.”
