International School of Ministry Receives the Golden Rule International Award For Humanitarian Program

Dr. Clyde Rivers, Drs. Berin and Lisa Gilfillan

The Golden Rule International Award is now established in 120 nations of the world. This organization seeks out top achievers that live the Golden Rule in their everyday life. This is a new global ethic that the leadership of the Golden Rule International Award, Patron, current President of Ethiopia, Girma Wolde and Ambassador Mussie Hailu has embraced and is promoting globally. Drs. Berin and Lisa Gilfillan are now officially Good Will Ambassadors of the Golden Rule International.

On June 19, 2013 at the Rock Church in Southern California, Dr. Clyde Rivers, an Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative (IPI) Representative to the United Nations in New York as well as a member of the leadership team of the Golden Rule International Award awarded Drs. Berin and Lisa Gilfillan, the prestigious Golden Rule International Award. They received this award for their great humanitarian program BOKS, which upholds the principle of the Golden Rule International Award – Treating others the way you want to be treated.

Drs. Berin and Lisa Gilfillan, the Founders of the International School of Ministry, have created a BOKS Program. BOKS stands for Bringing Others Knowledge. This BOKS Program is a cutting edge program designed to help developing nations in the most remote areas. BOKS brings people knowledge of how to use their natural resources, to solve the issues within their communities and regions. For example BOKS brings solutions to the difficulty of having a healthy childbirth experience where there is no hospital or clinic. They educate on how to obtain healthy drinking water using natural purification elements available to them from their environment as well as seeking out and finding nutritional vegetation to aid in healthy eating habits.

Dr. Rivers said, “This is one of the best programs I’ve ever seen that brings practical help to the remotest of villages and communities around the world. This organization provides knowledge to people of all faiths and cultures that enhance their lives through informational instruction and practical help. International School of Ministry and their BOKS Program truly exemplifies the Golden Rule, treat others the way you want to be treated.”
