Dr. Clyde Rivers
Loss of life is at an epidemic
level around the world. Dr. Clyde Rivers, a Representative to the United
Nations in New York for the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative (IPI), is on a
mission to establish cultures of peace within every community in the world. The
plan to accomplish this is based on the biblical principle of the Golden Rule,
“Treat each other the way you want to be treated.” Dr. Rivers believes this
principle will lay a foundation for peaceful dialogue within communities that
are in need of peaceful, life-saving results.
Representative and activist, Dr.
Clyde Rivers said, “Many nations of the world do not understand the power of
peace making. If you have been fortunate enough to live in a country that has
never experienced war, you are a blessed person. As a peace activist for the
Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative I have seen people living in total fear of
what’s going to happen at the end of an election. They are unsure if there will
be peace or war and it causes great concern and unrest. This has become a great
issue of concern for me and gives me a strong desire to initiate peace globally
wherever I go.”
